I am fascinated by links between music, drawing and ceramics. Experiences in these fields are at the heart of my ideas in clay. Instrumental music, natural form, plant growth and coastal seascape are important sources of inspiration.
The majority of my work is hand built, with some wheel work, using bone china, porcelain and stoneware clays. Several different techniques are used, ranging from rolling and folding, slip casting, coiling and throwing. I combine these techniques within pieces to achieve my designs.
