My bone china crumple forms with bright fresh colourful interiors range in size from h8cm w25cm to h3cm w4cm. These are slip cast from my own plaster moulds.
Using underglaze colours I create both block colour and watercolour interiors - the watercolour imagery inspired from my sketch book paintings. These are then glazed using transparent brush on glaze and fired to 1245°C in an electric kiln.
The contrast between the matt textured white exteriors and smooth colourful interiors gives a feeling of natural form rather like a geological specimen rough on the outside revealing a surprising interior.
Opening Hours: Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 4.30pm
Admission prices: Adult £5, Concession £4.50, Children 15yrs and under free
